How We Collect Data
Ongoing evaluation ensures data driven programming.
Trauma Smart partners with Dr. Courtney N. Baker and Tulane University to review and analyze the data that we collect. We collect baseline data at the first training (prior to content delivery) and collect post-data at the completion of the first program year. After the first program year, we continue to collect this data to monitor that the trauma-informed shift sustains beyond the initial implementation of the Trauma Smart approach.
We evaluate and refine our program based on what works.
These are some of the ways we measure our success:
- ARTIC (Attitudes Related to Trauma-Informed Care Scale) — you can find more information on this assessment here.
- Trauma Smart Program Feedback Form — this measure was created to gather both qualitative and quantitative information on the impact that Trauma Smart is having within the agency.
- Academy Evaluations
- Consultation Satisfaction Surveys
Each agency that we partner with will receive a report containing their results. To view some of our recent outcomes, go to our Results page.
