Trauma Smart partners with Dr. Courtney N. Baker and Tulane University to review and analyze the data that we collect. We collect baseline data at the first training (prior to content delivery) and collect post-data at the completion of the first program year. After the first program year, we continue to collect this data to monitor that the trauma-informed shift sustains beyond the initial implementation of the Trauma Smart approach.

We evaluate and refine our program based on what works.

These are some of the ways we measure our success:

  • ARTIC (Attitudes Related to Trauma-Informed Care Scale) —The ARTIC survey was co-developed with the Klingberg Family Centers and Dr. Courtney Baker of Tulane University.  This psychometrically valid tool was developed because there was not a clear, objective method for assessing trauma informed systems and trauma-informed care definitions have been unclear in the past.
  • Trauma Smart Program Feedback Form — this measure was created to gather both qualitative and quantitative information on the impact that Trauma Smart is having within the agency.
  • Academy Evaluations
  • Consultation Satisfaction Surveys

Each agency that we partner with will receive a report containing their results. To view some of our recent outcomes, go to our Results page.
